Remington (JC sumkindasong) |

Remington (JC name Sumkindasong) is a 2012 OTTB bay gelding, standing at 16.1+hh. He has been in a training program with my teenager for a number of years, and has been used as a W/T/C IEA mount with the tiniest of riders.
Remi loves to jump, BUT that part of his career is over – I repeat, this guy needs to be FLAT ONLY! Remington has a history of right forelimb lameness associated with a previous injury to the deep digital flexor tendon and inferior check ligament in the middle of the right front cannon bone region. The vet says he is sound for all work on flat ground but is prone to re-injury and lameness if moved back into jumping work. His injury was appropriately managed with professional Shockwave therapy, getting him back to soundness on flat work.
Remi has been in every boarding situation – he’s currently turned out just for an hour or two a day, but previously was in a group turn out for 12+ hours a day, and has also been a full-time outside horse. He seems to be happiest outside. He trailers well and loves being out on the trails. He would make a great addition to a lesson or trail riding program.
